Anniversary Weekend

How will we get the wheelbarrow to the lake??

Well, Jane and I celebrated our 27th anniversary on Friday, and had fond memories of our wedding in 1979. It was -20 out and the DJ played Elvis' "I Can't Help Falling in Love with You". We drove to the airport at midnight in Mom's old Ford 500 and the darn car mis-fired all the way. The next day saw us winging it down to South America, for an extended Latin honeymoon. (sigh).

On Friday we went to see harmonica virtuoso Carlos del Junco in Stratford with Chris and Mary. The concert was great, and reminded us of our teenage years when we would sneak into Fryfogel's Inn in London to see such blues legends as Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters and Buddy Guy.

We finally got our building permit for the cottage and are preparing for the build. I have had a great time shopping for tools. We will try to post photos on the blog to show the progress.

Happy Anniversary! wow 27 years! Seems like yesterday. I remember the little black chinese shoes I wore and the dusty rose dress and the BIG frame glasses! was it really that cold? I think we had the same song for our first dance at our wedding- 20 years ago.

We've been married 27 years, also (last Nov), and we had the same song for our first dance, too!
