The Ridge Board

...had a week's holidays and enjoyed every minute! We (Adam and I) got the ridge beam up on the cottage after two attempts. We found that we had to send for more scaffolding in order to lift it up a little bit at a time, with one man on each end, twenty six feet up in the air...whew!! More photos coming.

Whew! We have had a really nice spring so far. The cottage is coming along nicely, and we plan to have a rafter raising party this weekend. Today was really sunny after almost two weeks of overcast and rain. Last weekend I had a chance to visit with my Mom and my siblings. Cool.

Peace, perfect peace

My thoughts are turning to peace today...what can you do immediately to bring more peace into the world? Jesus said " Blessed are the peacemakers; they shall be called children of God". Take action- you can make a difference!

May has been a very pleasant month so far... the blooms and buds are so nice to see. Gabriela has started a summer job as a security guard in the top secret (shhh!) _________ research facility at the University of Western Ontario.
